I help you prepare during pregnancy for the challenges of labour, and I am there to give you continuous support throughout labour: emotionally, informationally, with physical comfort measures.  I am there for you from when you first feel you need me after contractions begin, until after your baby is born.  I help you out with early breastfeeding & I don’t leave your side until your baby has been fed and you’re ready to rest.

I will stay by your side to help as you experience this amazing transformation that is becoming a parent.  It's your day!

Birth Support package:

  • Emotional and informational support via text/email/phone throughout your pregnancy, as needed.

  • 2 prenatal visits where we will get to know each other so we can discover your birth preferences, fears and ideals and I can begin to offer you customized support.

  • Help you find reliable information so you can make informed decisions during labour.

  • On call 24 hours/day beginning two weeks before the due date, until your baby is born. (If your labour begins sooner than that, I’ll do my best to be there for you!)

  • Arrange for a backup doula to be on call if I am unavailable due to illness or unexpected emergency.

  • Early labour support over the phone or in person, as you prefer.

  • Stay with you once active labour has begun, until one or two hours after your baby is born, has been fed and everyone is settled.

  • Use non-medical labour support techniques and provide physical comfort measures.

  • Strive to maintain a calm and peaceful birth environment, in ways that are meaningful to you.

  • Take photographs during labour, birth and bonding time, if you request them. (*note that I’m not a professional photographer, and the need for birth support and limitations set by medical staff may impact my ability to take photos)

  • Assist with baby’s early breastfeeding and latch shortly after birth, if you plan to breastfeed.

  • Support via text/phone in the first two weeks as questions arise about your changing body and baby.

  • One postnatal visit with you, in which we can discuss how things are going, troubleshoot any feeding or home setup challenges, and I can provide resources you might need.

  • $1300
